I started this post last night, but was too tired to finish so I finished it this morning.
Today, we did a lot of walking. We walked a total of 8.5 miles!
First, we went to the Vasa museum. The Vasa museum is about a war ship that sank in the Stockholm harbor and discovered 333 years later. The ship was too narrow on the bottom of the ship while the top had huge sails and when the wind blew, it toppled over and sank.
Then at the end of the museum, we could take a picture of ourselves and post it on the map to show where we were from. We put down Chicago.
Then after that, we walked a few feet to the Nordic museum. It had exhibits on various aspects of Swedish traditions and lifestyle through the years.
The interior was amazing. Very high ceiling with several skylights. I was more fascinated with the design than the contents. :)
We were getting hungry so we took the tram over to Skansen, an outdoor museum showing Swedish life in different parts of Sweden (northern, central, southern, etc..)
It rained off and on while we were in Skansen so we decided to do something indoors. We went to the Swedish rock n roll hall of fame museum, also known as the Abba museum. It was more for Abby than myself, obviously :)
It was getting late so we decided to grab some dinner near the hostel, which ended up being a little more money than we expected, but that's all right :)
